anyone have this cd?! i downloaded the instrumental cd and the beats are so sick. im just wondering if anyone has this cd and can send it over AIM or something? i tried lookin on suprnova packetnews ircspy and all they got is the instrumental, anyone have the retail cd? if not ill just buy it just cause i like the instrumental so much

One of their weaker CD's....back in the Infamous and Hell on Earth days Havoc was a beast.
i wouldnt know if it was weak or not, no lyrics lol. but yea i really really like The Infamous. never heard hell on earth so i wouldnt know about that either. but even with my lack of hip hop knowledge to me it seems that compared to amerikaz nightmare, mobb deeps abilities have deterierated a noticeable amount compared to the old stuff. flows seem more simplistic compared to say "shook ones part II" or "survival of the fittest". again though this is with my limited knowledge //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

I agree with guantlet that song "survival of the fittest" is one of the sickest songs...
i didnt know that was gauntlet...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

anyways thanks for the heads up gauntlet. can always trust whether a cd is good or not based on what you say

Murda Muzik isn't bad though, IMO. Lyrically it isn't as good as some of their work, but the production stays top notch and there are definitely some strong songs on the album (Quiet Storm and two or three others). This was my introduction to Mobb Deep so maybe I have a certain fondness for it, and it certainly isn't their best work, but I'm glad I've got it and if I lost it I'd pay retail to replace the lost copy. For some reason I especially like listening to it while driving in the rain.

Ill ditto all that. Murda muzik was my first mobb album too, Street life can still put chills on my back. Its not their best album, but definitly not their worst. I think it falls off after Quiet Storm but picks up with the nas song that has the Scareface Sample. Some of the beats hit real hard on that album too, whats ya poison with cormega which is #4 I think has a real sick hit in the first 10 seconds of the song.

I used to bump it on my headphones on the bus going to school everyday, holds a special place in my heart.

Listen to DJ Shadow - Endtroducing for long drives in the rain. Or Blockhead - Music by Cavelight.
thanks for the suggestion. lookin for it but cant find any copies yet. on a side note i got over 1k posts. i didnt even notice lol. thats a lot of writing
