When have I (or the majority of mods) senslessly abused our powers? Sorry, but it thoroughly pisses me off when I'm lumped into the "immature moderator" category for no damned reason at all. If you want to call someone out by name, do it (in another thread, not in this one) and leave the rest of us out of it. And even if someone doesn't agree with one of our decisions, such as deleting a post, deleting a thread or closing a thread with all of their following "you crossed the line" BS threads......that doesn't mean it wasn't the right action to have taken. We had our reasons, and normally good reasons, even if it wasn't popular opinion. If it makes you feel better, I'd be up for having another mod vote when the increased mod powers take effect. If you wish this forum not be a better place to visit, then we don't want you around anyways. Giving the mods the power to handle the duties we are supposed to be handling is a good thing, not a bad thing. There ARE times when deleting an entire post isn't necessary, but removing portions of it is. In which case, editing posts would be extremely nice to have because presently we either have to 1) delete the entire post, which removes some information which may have been worthy of staying in the thread, or 2) ask the poster to kindly edit their post.....which they hardly ever do after being asked (and hence option 1 therefore occurs). Not totally, but pretty close. A good example; All that crap that happened in the hccafan thread. snoopdan and RFCV would have both had points tacked on for the bs they pulled in there.
