A few ma y remember I bought a used XXX 15 w/ a nickle sized hole in the dust cover.....and when I recieved it, I seen that the hole actually went thru the second layer of plastic, so I could see all the way down thru the magnet!!!!
Needless to say, I was pissed, and I figured the sub was lost. I tried it though, and it bangs like a brand new one does.
So now, I figured I wanna fix the ugly ass holes, since I only bought the sub for $205+shipping, I would throw a little more into it.
I emailed FI car audio, and this is the response..........does this sound correct, or did he give me a wrong price??? I just responded to HIS email, but nothing yet.....
here's his quote.....does this price seem correct.................

Sorry for the delay in response. We have been swamped the past couple of weeks with orders and emails.
Yes, the sub can be repaired with a new outer dustcap (the larger one that covers the whole cone and surround flange) and a new inner dustcap (the smaller one attached directly to the voicecoil.
You are looking at $20 plus shipping for a bottle of the correct glue, a dustcap (it is the correct one, but with no logo) and an inner dustcap (this will have to be different as the former to inner dustcap glue joint it intergral to the sub... you will cut off the top of the inner dustcap and replace it with the other one)
Please let me know if I can help with anything else.
Thanks,
Scott
