My name is Ryan and Im from ohio, actually the "greater" Toledo area.
Ive been into the hobby since the mid 90's. Im still working through the car audio phases, currently in the SQ phase.
My first HU was a Sanyo tape deck. My first CD Deck was an ALpine CDE-7830. First subs were 4 12" JL W0's. Amps were mix and match, RF Punch's and a Majestic.
My current projects:
First is my 88 Beretta, which is an SQL hopefull, slightly a nightmare at the moment. Layout is 20 4" speakers and 8 3/4" tweets between both doors.
I want to put 2 12" Elevation SQX's in a 1/4 Wave TL box. I will have the entire trunk rear seat area to wall off and work with. If the TL doesnt pan out then it will be ported, with a very large center port. AMps are all up in the air at this point. This vehicle doesnt get used and is soley a project and soon to be work car.

Second is my 99 Olds Alero. Currently I have no head unit to go in it outside the CDE 7830 that I havent put in car #1 yeat. Looking for a high end unit for this Alero. Amplifier is an Eclipse EA4000. Speakers are 5 1/4" Rainbow Profi CS 230 P3's. Sub is a single 8" Neo Tang Band going into a 6th Order BP. Wiring is Knu, sound dampening will be Second Skin with Ants Deflex pads also (courtsey of Second Skin!).
Other intrests/hobbies/bs:
Well as you can see Ive been around the hobby for some time. I build boxes on the side to help pay for it. I also do many odd mechanic type jobs on my cars to save money and to soak up my free time. Outside that I have a 6 year old daughter that keeps me busy and a GF now of 1 year.
Work:
Yes I work. Currently workign as a contractor for machining work and Design/CAD work. In the past Ive been a machinist, Engineer Tech, Safety and Lean Coordinator.

I first got involved with Message boards back in 1999. It alls tarted with Car Audio Central. I like to think I was a very avid user and help grow the community. Eventualy I was made a moderator. Later we grew more and decided to all buy in and purchase our own software/hosting/domain. So that in turn makes me a partial owner. I spend about 50% of my online time there. The other 50 between E bay and about 4-5 other forums and growing (unfortunately).
