while I like the sport of basketball better overall, the hockey playoffs this year have been freakin AWESOME. I hope people are tuning in. I know the sport has fallen off in America lately, but these playoffs should help in reviving them

Seriously, yeah I dont have many friends that watches hockey like I do.. Most of them would say why the fu k re you watching hockey! Go watch basketball or whatever.. I am like f-you, nothing beats watching hockey IMO.. I think hockey is very fun to watch and it is one of the toughest sport out there.. IMO, players in NHL hits harder than players do in NFL..

Hockey is by far the best sport out there yet it doesn't get any attention. NBA is a bunch of whiny, pussy prima donas. MLB, while I love baseball, is also full of a bunch of pussies. The NFL still doesn't compare, I have a fiend who complains that hockey players are only on the ice for a minute at a time then off again, but for that minute they are going balls out whereas a player in the NFL plays for 5 seconds per play, waits 40 seconds for the next play then plays for 5 more seconds, doesn't compare to hockey.

Hockey is freaking popular over here. I just can't believe so few people love it in usa. All tickets for montreal canadian are sold out 1hour after they start selling at the beginning of the season

X2, imo baseball is boring as hell.. Football , hockey and Golf consume most of my sports viewing , maybe even a lil bowling to //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif .. Golf i hated , but i must admit juming on the Tiger bandwagon about 10 years ago, and got hooked now im playing myself at least once a week..

As for hockey i grew up in northern minnesota were hockey is huge, as is basically the entire state of minnesota watches .. An i believe the wild have sold out every game since the beginning of the franchise in 2000, which is a pretty good fanbase following, considering they are still building and not even that great of a team... kinda like the south and football

Even our Highschool games that are televised get huge ratings on FSN near the same as the wild. It really is the state of hockey, and everyone wants to see who is up and coming since minnesota holds 14 of the top 20 HS teams in the country.
