ho altenator, is it worth the upgrade

i went to a local altenator place and they told me they can take my altenator and make it 150 amps. The one i have on my car now is 130 amps. They want to charge me $175 for the upgrade. Is it worth it for just an extra 20 amps?

well i'm in canada and wanted to avoid shipping from the us cause the taxes ups charges to bring it across is outrageous. Plus i was checking mechman and they want like $500.00 for a 200 amp altenator. Anywhere else i can get one cheaper?

well depending on the car you might want to keep an eye out in the classified section and on caco and you might find a used one like i did for the price that a new factory one would cost
