No 20-minute install for me. But that was removing the interior, finishing the battery move to the trunk, removing my coax pair from the rear deck, wiring the doors for external amps, routering holes in my door panels to later cover with grille cloth, putting the coax pair in the doors, wiring for power to the amps on the rear deck, mounting the amps to the rear deck, running RCAs to the AudioControl 2XS, running 2 RCAs to the rear deck for the amps from the 2XS, installing the head unit, and installing the universal DIN pocket... ...you know, not much. Got it hooked up and listened with the car off by 1AM on Sunday, after starting at 10:30AM Saturday (with a 4PM - 5:30PM break for dinner). Starting the car showed I had a wiring problem. Took me a while to give up on that for the night. It just wouldn't start with out a jump, but I had the dome light on for >12 hours. That wasn't it, though. Turns out I used an existing ground that really sucked by the rear deck. I DMMed it, but I got a small negative number. I thought that was because my DMM was really cheap. Something else was going on, but I disconnected the system (+) and (-) connections, then I called it a "day" by 2AM. Started again at 3PM Sunday, and before 7PM I was done and everything was cleaned up - my interior was even all back in my car (not perfectly, but I'm waiting on parts to visually clean up the install). I started over, and made a new ground and cut new grounding wire runs from the three in the back (Profile CA200, 400SX, and the A.C. 2XS) and did several other things I had forgotten at 2AM the previous night. Including cleaning up the work area nice and good. No install pics, not "watching sausage being made..." and all that. Nothing but finished pics, when I am finished. Tell darvex.com to hurry up if you are getting impatient (right ). I also have everything I need (except cooperation from the weather) for fiberglassing trunk for my 15" sub. The MDF temp enclosure is wearing really, really thin after only a couple days. That will be interesting.
