OK, i am hearing that the HK4000D is pretty overated and the AQ2200D is underated. Assuming they have the same voltage going to them, which would probably put out more power:

AQ2200D @ 14.4V @ 1ohm ("under rated" at 2200W rms)

or

HK4000D @ 14.4V @ 2ohm ("over rated" at 3600W rms)

sub is an AQ HDC315... I hear a lot of "go AQ" simply to have the same brand sub/amp but i want whatever will make it hit harder/louder which would be the one with more power i assume... '99 Cadillac Eldorado, "Big 3" with 0awg, stock under hood battery and an Interstate deep cycle in the trunk. Also have a 5-farad cap if that would be of any help...

ALSO: i haven't bought the new sub yet so don't worry about the 1ohm/2ohm....

I have had my MA audio products for over 12 years. Ranges from the HK 4000ds to the Hk1998( ran them at 1ohm daily good for a 2ohm mono amp.) M489I ,HC4002, Couple of HC2501, four 6*9 speakers. A few synergy 15's one 12 Couple of line drivers. I fully trust all of them. Shit the HC4002 is like 12years old and still running good. I guess you just have to know what your doing.
