hitting the lows

i had a DD 9518 and it was an older one and i blew it.that sub was awsome and hit the lows.i used the box that it was in a 7 cubic foot box tuned to what DD said to tune it for my SUV and i put a atomic X 18 subwoofer in that box and it just does not hit the lows?like the sub is flexing alot but not getting loud on the lows.do you think the box is wrong because it was built for my DD?

you have to figure out your box tuning.

DD usually reccomends a higher tuning than most...try tuning around 33hz and that should bring the lows out
