**** hiss/Do i have components?

Ok so i decided to wire an amp to my Infinity's to put the amp to a good use, but after getting it all together the speakers hiss. Not loud, the only time i notice it is when i have the music paused.. it just pisses me off. So i think he could be either of these 3 things:

1. Speaker wire i bought at radioshack

2. Right angle RCA adapters i bought at radioshack

3. The shitty (Temporary) connection job i did from the speakers to the crossover box(Taking a guess as to what it is). Wrapped them together and put electrical tape over it.

Any comments will be appreciated.

The other side of this is. I swear my infinty's were 2 way coaxils but i didn't think that a coaxil no matter what number of speakers it hadm would have a box attached to it ( i did not install these) Here are some pictures:

So is it just a coax and thats how they come?

They're a two way coax w/ an external xover. That's what that little box is..

As for the noise problem... Probably bad ground..... somewhere

Could it be because i used a distro block for the ground on the amps?
