90s basshead here, looking to get back in the trunk after a decade or so hiatus. 2011 300c is my current ride and looking to update and learn a few things. Have a dillema maybe someone can help me with......

I have a 2011 300C AWD with the Alpine system and touchscreen deck. I am looking to install 2 Alpine Type R 10s in a ported box, 4 Type R coax speakers and 2 Type R comp speakers, with a Memphis 1000D amp and a Planet Audio 4 channel amp.

Id like to keep the factory deck, however, a replacement is fine, IF I can keep back up camera, heated/vented seat, climate controls, etc. of my vehicle. Is this possible with a replacement deck? If so, any suggestions of some good units would be greatly appreciated.

Now comes the more complicated part of my situation lol

Ive gotten 2 estimates from 2 different independent car audio shops, both have said the same thing and gave prices near each other. They both informed me that I would need some sort of "car audio sound processor for oem integration" module.

Also that later model 300's, Chargers, and Challengers were "wonky" when it came to sound quality, because of some sort of sound deadening material in the cars to keep the ride quiet. Because of this issue, they both said that I would need new, more expensive equipment, and a walled off permanent subwoofer box, as opposed to the box that I have. Both estimates came in at $2500 and up for the install and new equipment. I asked why cant the equipment I have be used, both said that because of how the vehicles were made, it wouldnt sound as good as Id like and what Im use to in older cars. For reference sake, it came out of a 97 Infiniti I30. Good, clean, even and LOUD sound.

Id like to vet this info, is this all necessary and true? Past the OEM deck and processor thing, which makes sense, cant the car just be wired to add upgraded door speakers and 2 subs in a box? I know the oem system has separate amps and funny wiring configs but why new equipment, and whats wrong with the equipment I have lol? Been a while since Ive had aftermarket sound in a car, maybe 12 years, has THAT much changed in car audio (edit: and cars in general) since then?

Edit: Also forgot to add, one shop tried to sell me on newer Kicker L7s or CompQs and their amps I believe. Dont remember exactly which, but the reason I was givin was that in comparison, they were more efficient and more powerful than what I have, to fight the cars accoustics issues. Also that more cars today have similiar issues as opposed to cars from my era(95-09). What gives??
