I was about to order a set of Focal 165KPs to upgrade from my 165V2 when I heard the Hertz Mille MLK165......and just powered by a Pioneer HU. The tweets of the MLK were crisp & full of detail - no ear fatigue even when the HU was driven to almost clipping. I didnt hear much of the midbass as the auditioned track didnt present much of it and naturally I didnt expect much since it was only HU driven. Overall, a magnificent set.......hopefully I'll hear them amplified in my ride tomorrow:D Today, I heard a HSK165 in an amplified car and the midbass was dynamic - punchy. Bass up front was great! The tweets thou were kinda "laid back" - it was soothing & relaxed. For me thou, I'd still prefer the tweeter details of the MLK165. Too bad, we didnt get to really auditioned them that much as we just passed thru to the distributor's shop to confirm our appointment tomorrow. I'm just glad that the distributor is willing to take off the MLK165 set from his car so we could try it on my ride.
