What is with the angled port entry? Won't that just choke the port out?

I did not build the box, it was already built when I bought it with my sub, these are the plans the guy gave me that he made up before he made the box...anyone know what the volume and tuning frequency would be?

Looks like it may be a transmission line box with the angled port.....

The guy told me its supposed to be like a snail shell...all I know is that it sounds hella Low and not very good...just trying to figure out the tuning and air volume

definatly some kind of rear loaded transmission line box that he is attempting to make it think that is aeropoedic with polyfill.

i dunno - if it gets hella low, why does it sound so bad? what speaker are you using with it? theres no way i can give a tuning for that - ive not even looked into folded horn box design.

Sub is an SX 15 ...so Its not the sub thats making it sound bad, the box seriously sounds like it is either tuned way too low...maybe the box is just too small? Im going to try to take out the polyfill that he had in there today, and test it out...thanks

The sub is probably the problem. A properly built TL box only sounds good with certain drivers...namely those with extremely low Fs, Qts, and Qes.
