Not a final paint job, this is just for the time being, in order to keep it from rusting. Once we go for a final build or start the machine work we will probably get it acid bathed to ensure every little crevise is cleansed.

cool. i suppose. i like the idea because of the fact it keeps it from rusting.

so in a nutshell, the only major difference between a hemi and a normal engine is that the piston heads are hemispherical, and the spark plugs are in the center of the combustion chambers right?

so whats the big deal about having a hemi other than they are huge engines?

Yea, it was a mess and we had it hot bathed, so the bare metal almost instantly rusted when we brought it home:furious:

Yes, the cylinder heads have a hemispherical combustion chamber, the plug in the middle and the valves on either side of the chamber. They are not huge engines, just huge heads back in the day. The 392 is/was a very popular drag motor. It's not the most economical choice when trying to go fast cheap, but it can be built strong and *****ing //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

 
im not sure if you were the one that had before pics a couple of weeks ago but if you were you did an awesome job, looks real nice. whats this gonna be going in?
