sealed: just like it sounds...a completely sealed box for a subwoofer. most subs sound really good in sealed boxes

ported: a box that has openings in it, also known as ports. they can be slot ports or circular ports...mainly for getting loud, but can sound good.

bandpass: can sound good if they are built right, but usually arent all that great. they are hard to build right.

i'm prolly just going to have 1 12 " elemental k sub so i want good bass should i go with a sealed box?

well...you could build it yourself if you have tools and stuff. if not, you probably wont be able to find a pre-made online that will be the right size.

Agreed with this here. Since you have the unit pulled out of the car/dash...test it at your car battery directly for operation. very simple to do...

This may be an option for you as well. Im sure Amazon has them on theyre site also to be purchased. Great amps...

Yeah, put the probes on the power wire and ground wire of the amplifier. Multimeter on DC. Do not put it on the wires that go to your speakers. M
