I want to upgrade the speakers in my 98 Integra GS, and I was about to buy Polk db6500 when I came here to get a review. After reading articles and posts for a few days, I'm overwhelmed with options now. I already installed an Alpine 9856 HU with the iPod fast connection, and I already had a used Infinity Basslink (good enough for me). I listen to mostly hard rock and some rap (everything but country really). I prefer to not have "harsh" tweeters. I'm looking for SQ (stock speakers have virtually zero midbass) at all volumes. I don't turn the volume up too much (the Alpine powering the stock speakers can get loud enough, it just sounds like crap). So, I'm asking you: How would you spend up to $600 to improve my sound? Which comps in front, amp, anything in rear(?), deadening, etc. If you have actually installed a system in a 3rd generation Integra that would meet my needs, that would be fantastic. I can't really compare these brands that I didn't know about until recently, because Best Buy is the only place nearby. I hope I have given you enough info to go on, and I look forward to hearing what you have to say! Thanks!
