My head unit is capable of supporting 1 amp, but it is already being used with a 1 channel amp that is feeding a subwoofer.
I have a very small car that DOES NOT utilize rear speakers. I have an aftermarket head unit that produces 15w X 4 rms and a set of component speakers that came with crossovers that are 15w rms per speaker. My question is, can I scrap the crossovers and just wire my component speakers individually to their own channel on the head unit using bass blockers/inline filters or will this not work correctly? I currently have them wired using the crossovers going to 2 channels on my head unit like people would normally do that don't have an amp, but it drives me crazy having 2 unused channels on my head unit which could be supplying all of my speakers with the ideal wattage. My head unit is capable of supporting 1 amp, but it is already being used with a 1 channel amp that is feeding a subwoofer. Any help on how I can get the most wattage out of the head unit going to the set of components would be greatly appreciated. Thx
