I bought a DMM the other week. It has a AC/DC V setting, but no setting for 200 or 500 that I can tell. I looked in the Owner's Manual it's doesn't say anything about switching from 200 to 500 in there either. Will this still work without the selection of settings? I bought a 60$ Dmm figuring it would do anything I would need it to do. For now, and down the road if any bigger projects came up around the house, wiring, cars, etc... Here's the link to the one I bought. http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_12605_03482175000P?keyword=digital+multimeter I don't know anything about DMM's at the moment and there isn't anyone at the store that knows anything aboutem either. I want to buy a good one so I don't have to buy another one again. Here's a link to Craftsman DMM page. It doesn't have to be a Craftsman. It can be different brand, but I'd like a DMM that will take a beating if it has to. I'm gonna return it to Sears.
