Hey guys.. im REALLY getting sick of having my Rs in an SPL box daily (4.5 cuft @40hz).. you can see why by the graph. i have another box (4.5 @33hz) but its unfinished and a little deep.. hits too close to the hatch and causes too much **** vibration in the panels. So, im thinking of just saying f uck it and just build a box directed more at SQ. but i dotn knwo if i liek the response the sealed @ .707 gave me.. yeah I KNOW its winISD and you cant go off this much, but i want a flat response, with a strong bottom end. my question is.. i have a plot on ISD here for a 5.0 cube box with a 25 hz tuning (yeah i really dowant a strong low end). it shows a really flat response.. but what would that do in a car? how badly would it be messed up from this? i would like a flat response, but if i get a peak in the 20hz range somewhere i wouldnt really mind.. this graph shows a .707 alignment (yellow), 5.0 cube@25hz (flat), 4.5 cube@33hz (small peak), and 4.5 cube@40hz (huge peak). which do you think would give me the best results IN my car(for what im lookign for)? spl isnt an issue, im killing my hearing with the spl box, my ears could use a nice break. ive had enough sharp pain, i want late nite tip to make me sick and teary-eyed hah
