[QUOTE="hotboxn, post: 5880719, member: 570602"] Deck is DEH-P880PRS I have had the LP and HP set at 80 for a while. They seem to be making a popping sound(distortion or too low of a tone I'm guessing) when i turn the deck up to 1/2-3/4 volume though. so i immediately turn it down and try messing w/ the eq settings but can't seem to dial in on the problem. I tried bridging the amp this morning and they do perform much better, and pick up those midrange tones a bit better, but like i said, they keep making the popping/smacking sound and i'm forced to turn it right down. Sorry for being a noob, but i've heard about active/passive setups, but dont know jack about either way. I'm more than happy to read a post about it, but when i search i dont find the right info about it. Do you have a good link for it or could you provide me with the +'s and -'s of doing either way.
