people wont believe your car is only three 8s on a few hundred watts.. They will think you have two 15s on 3000 rms. However your line out convertor will limit you to no end. You need something that flatten's the head unit signal. I would stay clear of audiocontrol. Get something like a JL cleansweep at the very least or a full blown digital sound processor like the audison bit one, alpine pxa 800 or jbl ms8 which EQ's the factory signal. Main thing why you want to do this is because the factory head unit usually always cuts the bass signal to protect the door speakers with an inherent high pass filter. Along with it not being a dedicated subwoofer channel with its own digitally encoded signal. Unless you take care of these issues, you wont see any decent results because all you are doing is trying to get a sub signal out of a full range(but cut) signal. When the signal is cut, all you can do is try to boost it but when you try to boost something thats not in the music, you will get a lot of distortion and an overall weak signal to the amp and when its amplified, its basically sh*t compared to a strong signal being amplified. Countless installs have gained one to several DB just by upgrading the head unit or getting proper processing.
