help low sub bass when i got my 4 channel amp installed

ok this is how it goes. i first installed a 750.1 kicker amp and a alpine typer r sub in my lexus gs. the install consist of a hi lo output converter tapped in to a speaker for the signal and ran rca jack. ok i later than got a alpine pdx 4x100 amp installed for all my speakers in the car( all the speakers have been changed out to focal) ok now the car audio guy told me now the sub doesnt hit as hard as it used to do. what is the reason for that. is it because i have the 4 channel amp installed and it is hooked up to the hi low output converter. or antbody can help me out please . idk what is the problem. should i get the output converter tapped into another speaker as for instance to the factory sub. all the help would help thanks guys
