Hey peeps! First time poster, long time observer. I decided to go ahead and finally make an account on here.
A little back story: Graduated high school back in 2000. Was into car audio back then but stopped for a while. The setup back then:
1986 Honda Accord
Pioneer HU with a matching DEQ 7600 running my Polk components
MTX 1500D pushing 3 Rockford Fosgate HE2 12's sealed in a trunk that didnt fold down.
I went to get it tested once. I hit 140ish. I caught the guy by surprise when he saw the numbers. I had a screw driver holding up the rear panel for better air flow from the trunk. Crazy ghetto. That setup has been long gone though.
I have a new setup which should be in my sig.
I have a couple questions though. I was wondering if there are still uses for my old DEQ 7600 and Prestige crossover? Do people really need to use these any more? I have been pondering whether or not to try the crossover. I dont know if there would be any signal gains/losses.
I kept telling myself that if I got back into car audio, I would go for an SQ system, but I have been so tempted to just save up and get a nice ported sub for my RF Power 800.2. I like that heavy bass sometimes but cant really achieve it with my current set up.
