Hear the bass from miles away!!!

i dont mind hearing others systems, as long as it not at residential areas (at night) where most of the people are resting, crank it up in the right place at the right time
Not exactly true...I only want to be the loudest at comps, not on the street. I get attention on the street by the look of my truck, not the sound.

Nope. I'm not in this to impress you.

yeah a lot of people want to be the top dawg but it's also mostly at comps. now if someone pulls up next to me bumpin his system as loud as it goes when mine is on pause b/c i usually do that to talk to my friends and i can tell the guy's is on as loud as it goes cause you hear him crank it when he get's to the stoplight then hell's yes i crank mine just to show him up. is that wrong or imature of me or does everyone do it??

I personally HATE it when all you hear is the stupid bass.

I have a 'friend' who has 2 15 Jl's in the back seats of his civic with the ports 4 inches from the seat and yes, the bass is loud. But 2 15's and all stock speakers does NOT make a good system.

Also people that bump hard just to have their system heard and no other reason is just inconsiderate of other people. Not everyone wants to hear your music, especially if it is some offensive rap around a friggin elementary school. It pisses me off when the people with good 'systems' play their music loud and have no d amn consideration for any other person.

I went to Silver Spring, Maryland once (right above D.C.). There was all kinds of young people in their cars that night, but NOT A SINGLE SOUND out of any car. I didn't even turn mine on. I looked and there were cops everywhere. I've never seen so many cops. Later it was explained to me that not only is the crime absolutely horrible there, the cops have a zero tolerance policy on loud music. If they can hear it at all, your getting a ticket. Factory stereo or not.

As far as competing at a stop light, it's hard to convince someone to have an SQ comp right then and there, lol.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif So we're kind of left out, but don't ever lose an SPL comp to an SQ system, that would just be embarrassing.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

don't feel to weird if you are the kind that has the music quiet enough to talk and only crank it to show people up

i do it all the time but it is even better wen u show 1 guy up and another person pulls up and cranks it to show you up that's happened to me and i just cranked it even more so he pushed it in to distortion and then i paused it and 2 seconds later a pack of cops pulled up and arrested both of the other guys

**** that sucks for them. i've never gotten a ticket for my system(knock on wood) to this date and i bump every time i drive unless it's after 10 or so. the only time a cop has made any comments on my stereo was when he tried to tell me my blue neon lights were illegal.

Yeah, Blue lights are illegal, I have had that happen to me before, but it was for a license plate box...

i was told by my friend here who is a cop that they weren't. i am confused he told me as long as they are inside the car and not don't interfere with your visual's then they aren't illegal. i don't know but i have pulled next to other cops with my back seat down to where the car is pretty much totally blue and he didn't say anything.

It's all up to your particular state. In Virginia NOTHING is legal, except big rims. No neon lights inside or out is allowed. No tint is allowed either. The tint that comes naturally on many SUV's is illegal, but they let it go as an exception. Have to have both license plates on, front and back. And no you can not just stick the back one in the window like they do up here.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif You're car is inspected once a year. So your brakes better not squeak, your muffler better be pretty tame, and you better not have a single piece of rust on it. You'll get rejected and have 30 days to correct the problem.

This is why I'm moving to NC when I go back down south.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Yes, I know ALL about VA now...about 4 years ago, I was pulled for having 40 inch tires on my Yota. The cop said nothing above 38 was allowed, but since I was going back to NC, he let it slide.
