Headphones are preferred by a lot of audiophools...not my personal cup of tea because I prefer to fill a room with an ambient soundstage, but I can definitely understand the attraction. hey, that's uncalled for, I'd say the 8000'th XXX or Brahma wins that award or perhaps the classic and ever popular"old how many db's will this hit" thread are totally worse than this thread. I agree a nice HT setup definetly has it's advantages, but I do most of my listening when my families asleep.

yeah, mines are buds too, that's my biggest turnoff, my ears feel really funny after an extended listening session.

Sennheiser dominates the headphone market. I've tested and owned many pairs of headphones, sennheiser is the best imho.
