Got a new stereo installed that has a 45 rms, 100 w peak, four channel amplifier. The manual says to give it 12v power from my battery if my cars factory power is under 15 amps. (It’s only 7.5 amps).

I have a 12 gauge kit ready to go but I’m not sure how to connect the 12 gauge. I figure I’ll have to cut the power and ground leads from my stereos harness but I’m not sure how to attach these wires.

Thanks for the help- Mr. Mavan

Stereo is the Sony WX-GS920BH

There should be a harness installed to connect factory wiring to HU.  Locate the Yellow 12+ wire and Black GRND and disconnect (cut if already connected) and insulate the end coming from cars harness and connect the new separate power and grounds to the leads to stereo.

Since space is at a premium in most vehicles, it's important to find just the right spot to mount your amp. An amplifier needs some open air space around it to dissipate the heat that builds up as it works, otherwise it will overheat and shut down. Keeping that in mind, our two favorite locations are under a seat or in the trunk. Under-seat mounting is space-efficient and keeps the amp hidden Bluestacks Kodi Lucky Patcher from view. It also lets you run shorter cables from your receiver. A trunk-mounted amp requires longer power and signal cables, but is safely hidden and closer to rear speakers and your subwoofer.
