yeah umm. recently the other day one of my tweeters came unhooked so i pulled out my deck to hook the wires back up because i thought they had come undone so when i hoked the cd player back up it didnt light up i dont think ne power ran to it. it would make the noise like it was trying to eject a cd but there was no cd in and nothign powered up at all. so i assumed my cd player went to hell since it was older. so i have jut purchased a nwe deck off ebay so today i was going to hook up the factory radio in it so i atleast have something to listen to and i did and all that would do is light up for a second and then shut off, it would say the time but it wou ldnt surf through ne channels like it wasnt reading nething frmo the radio at all. so what the hell is going on?? plz help

i dont nkow what to check. i dont know what it would have to do w/ . i checked the fuse on the power wire, but it has to be something that rusn to the cd player?

how about the ground wire...did u check it??? if the h/u is not turning on or turns on for a sec then turns off again....that tells me that its either not getting enough power or that there is something wrong w/ the h/u...and since u said it happened to both it makes me think the first option....

the ground wire on what the amp or cd player? and i dont know how the ground is becuase the wiring harness just clips into the factory radio and i jsut got rid of the hu

hey give us time man......we volunteer our time here........well try to make a new ground point for your h/u and ground it there....also check the main power wire...make sure the actual wire is good.....

sorry, so wehre does the power wire that runs to the cd player run to, and so instead of grounding the cd player to the ground on the wiring harness ground it to something metal or waht?

Find a bare metal spot near the HU, put a wire connector on the end of the ground wire and bolt it to the spot. Make sure you're connecting it to absolutely bare metal, and make sure the connection is tight. The power wire goes to the battery. Just check the wire and make sure everything looks correct; if there's a problem, you'll see it. If you try all these and nothing works, I'd say you fried something inside your HU...
