Head unit reccomendation

Hey, Noob here. Yeah i know..anyways, I'm working on getting my car set up and I don't know much about head units(or car audio period). Can you give me some reccomendations? I'm not looking to spend much over 300 Canadian(250 ish US), color screen would be nice, along with ipod ready etc. Don't need satelite radio. Incase you';re wondering, i'm hooking this up to a MA 1800w amp with 2 Kaption spl 1200 subs. Thanks,

Kenwood Excelon KDC-X589, 590, or 789. You can also get a good Alpine for that price. Pioneer premier 6800 is nice too.

Border duty tax is the problem. I'm just wondering if that kenwood is a good deck.

kenwood xxv-01D 25th ann. off ebay for $219, its a killer sexual deck
