head unit for under $150?

Hi, new to the whole car audio thing. My stock unit has turned into a cd eater //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/mad.gif.c18f003ab0ef8a0d9c27ca78d77a6392.gif. I'm looking to get a new head unit for an 06 cobalt. The biggest thing i'm looking for is ipod connectivity. Satellite radio or HD radio is no big deal to me. Also, this has to be a unit that will last me a long time. I hardly ever spend alot of money at once (150 is a lot of money to me), so when i do spend a lot i expect it to last me for about 5 years. A lot of kids at school say that pioneer and alpine are nice brands so what would be a good model of those? Also, installation costs do not need to be accounted for because a friend can install. So $150 for just the HU is my budget. Thanks!

I'd recommend the Kenwood eXcelon X692 or X693. I had one for a few months and for the price it was a great head unit. Here's a couple links to a site I got mine from.
