Hdc3s on aq3500.1 copper or aluminum?

Assuming a real beefy electrical on the aq3500.1 at 1 ohm. Which pair of hdc3s copper or aluminum would be the better match? I don't care for the meters, this is for a daily setup. Box will be 8.5 cubes after displacement tunned at 36hz. I want to beat the shit out of the subs. Money is no issue so it doesn't matter which subs I get. Assuming all of the above should I get copper or aluminum hdc3s? In this setup what are the pros and cons of each sub?

save ur money and get the copper. reason being ur building a totally new system and want to push it so ur probley gonna need recones anyway and will prob end up tweaking the enclosure too...

he say money not an issue, so in that case, get the aluminum coil which can take it longer daily than the copper.

Why would I need to tweak the box? It's not ok to tune to 36hz? I thought 36-40hz on the hdc3s were fine. Power will be clean with no clipping.

He's saying you'll probably want to play with different enclosures to see what you like best and get the aluminum, handles power much better, that's why it's considered an upgrade.

its called a search engine....got to be 5 threads like this made each day
It's called being a troll, stay out if you don't have anything to say about the topic. I have searched and all get is bs. Someone asks about this amp or that. You get answers like is your electrical up to par when the guy was inquiring about an amp not his electrical. It's sad really. About 90 percent of threads on all forums, people can't stay on topic to save their life.

For example someone ask about a certain model speaker, no comparison's just that particular model. You always get answers like this so and so model can be had for x amount. Stay on topic please or gtfo.

off that amp the coppers will get louder since they're more efficient, but the alum would still do well and take a beating a lot longer. If you decided to go to 2 3500's then alum would be the way to go for sure. You can always get coppers and recone to alum if you add more power.

I've torn 1 spider on an HDC and that's with 2 3500's strapped at .25ohm each and it was only the sub that has unloading issues in my wall, the other 3 took it just fine. So I don't know where the "torn spider" shit is coming from:crazy:

torn spiders comes from small diameter spiders with not alot of travel allowed on them when people push 2-5k per on music they rip, seperate from basket or break the triple joint. within there power rated specs you will never do damage to the sub.

I had my two HDC312's on a AQ2200 and they barely moved. If your objective is to "beat the shit out of the subs" then i think the coppers would be ok. I'm gonna be running 3k to a single HDC315 (copper). Just let the subs break in before you let them get low and don't max out the bass boost or anything like that.

ive owned both. coppers sound better and get lower cause of the heavier coil. The spiders dont tear unless you make them. to me the aluminum really didnt seem to take much more power but i never gave either over about 2.2k each. the 3500.1 is a beast amp though. my one friend has a 2200 on a copper 15 and beating the hell out if it in the middle of a hot summer day neither the amp or sub gets hot.
