no bass boost. I would have to go in my truck and see what everything is set on because I didn't set it up. im thinking about going obsidian or that other new brand that sundown came out with.

Changing subs isnt goin to help the hdc is a great woofer and sound great when setup right

That's much more helpful, and definitely shouldn't be an issue with the hdc3's. It seems NASTY08IMPALA is all over this.

Could you get the specs of the enclosure? Like the H x W x D and what thickness of wood. Also the size of the port opening ( h x w) and the length of it.

We can tell you from that how the enclosure is setup. If you can get pics of your settings on the amp we can try and help walk you though that as well.

If you are getting a really good low end but not much from anything around 40hz then that is most likely a setting issue or enclosure issue though.

what about port area? what are u using for a port? If a slot is being used u should have around 15 sq. inch/ cu ft so if your slot is 15" it should be 2.5" wide.

I'm up near Six Flags and have done a LOT of HDC set ups if you want to stop up sometime I'd be willing to look at the enclosure and HU/amp settings.

And please tell me that shockwave didn't do your box....
