i dont care what it hit land at, it put trees through friends houses and took houses from other friends. 5.5 at ANY point is rediculous and record breaking. the hard rock casino can withstand 130 mph winds and its half way gone, only the guitar stands from my understanding. its devestating to have this happen in your own town but the whole country is feeling the effects. only giving gas to people in florida to last until labor day so they can bring the gas over to us. its amazing whats going on to help us and i know all the honorable people here in the south as a whole TRULY APPRECIATE it. all the dumb****s that give the south the reeputation it has......we dont accept that behavior, they are hardly not one of us, its just where they live. THANKS FOR EVERYTHING

I dont like the way the media portrays thes shooters as "snipers". Snipers are highly trained marksmen, these people are thugs with guns and no sense on how to use them so they just start shooting at everything. Its giving snipers and sniper rifles a bad name.

but in all seriousness, one of our local newscasters and her camera man were robbed at gunpoint down there..what did the thief demand? all their food and water, and then he left...

that hurts. we sent our money down, but it's just not enough, ya know?

i hope it can get resolved quickly...

These newscasters are putting themselves in that type of situation, they should be packing also for their own protection.

Yea... i cant stand the people on the news *****ing about how bad they have it.. when everyone else is going through it and so are the officials... I know its hard but respect the people trying to help you out and atleast show some amount of appreciation. People act like they are the only ones being affected...
