those drivers have sweet midrange, they wont be as bassy in the midbass region but i bet they'll clear up your midrange night and day vs the HD's..

Dont get me wrong they have decent midbass, but if you have a substage that meets up front in the dash and can play a solig 80hz-its a nice tradeoff for sure. Driver reminds me very much of rainbow Profi Phase Plug 6.5's- awesome driver choice for 2way you picked.

80hz/12db is about the mark those mids can handle well in a few of my buddies setups without sounding overdriven.
