Grouding Quoestion

chassis is normally much closer, and no need to buy all that additional wire. just ground to a seat-belt bolt or seat bolt that goes to the frame, make sure to scrape the paint off and make it bare metal, spread a small amount of vasoline over the area to prevent rust, tighten it down good and there ya go.

Just remember every new place you ground to is a possible entry point of hum. So for best performance find a grounding point and stick with it.

jeepintn's suggestion is a good one.
