supposedly when I was young and lived in delray beach, fl..there used to be a lake where people went fishing, skiing...etc...and some guy crashed and when he went down into the water he said it felt like he landed in barbed wire. Turned out to be a bunch of cottonmouths in a mating ball. But I've seen that story elsewhere before and it was a hoax.
