Grand Prix Enclosure.....

Alright, I want to buy two SE 15's, what size of enclosure would I need,

Would my Grand Prix Be able to fit it all?

Depth of 46"

Width of about 40"(It progressively gets wider)

Height of about 17"

=15.368^3 ft

Is that calculation correct?

Any help will be great....

i used to have a 93 grand prix and you will have a hell of a time fitting 2 15's in it. especially if you want to port it.

Yeah, this is going in a 99' Grand Prix, and I haven't bought them yet, and I may buy them used, so I was wondering if I could get help on here.....

**** my freind has a 99 grand prix gt, and it hardly fits a sealed box for 2 15's ported would be tight fit, i dont think systems sound good in grand prixs, ive heard 3 different once that were all decent setups , then i heard a kid with 2 w 7s that was good though, but who knows

Yea go for the JLs, you can put two JL 10W7s in there and they will hurt. They'll also fit.

As for how they will sound, Vosschs knows what it sounds like. He says it was good. JLs are a good investment. Dont buy them used however.. If at all possible.

also... i find it odd that anyone would say

that pontiac is bad for car audio... the best

system ive heard was in a grand am... and

my gf's sunfire slams with a setup that shouldnt

be slamming...

The Shivas I had in there were pretty **** loud, and Im not gonna go with JL, because Im strapped for cash.... JL is a little more than I want to pay for......

my gf has some JBL 12" that takes 125watts... ive got it in

a 1.8^3 vented box tuned to 32hz... the port and the sub

face up... its all powered by a broken memphis 1000d...

and i would still argue that it sounds better than my SE to

a degree... its punchy as hell... double bass just kicks you

in the back... and songs like late nite tip can still crush your

skull...

my SE is less punchy but honestly the bass is a lot "warmer"

sounding and very smooth... ive been listening to 311's

totaly smoothed out jam songs on it and its fvcking great...

Building it in the trunk? I seriously doubt you'd be able get a box that big through the opening.

Yeah, I was contemplating that today in school.... How hard would it be able to get a box through that opening?.... I may just go with Lethal Injections.... I don't know.....I wanted to try 2 15's though.....

i know 99's have bigger trunks then 93's but i couldn't fit my ported box for 2 12's, which was a 4 cube box after all displacement, so not very big, and i had to set it in the back seat.

Well, even if it is two smaller boxes, putting it in my backseat is not an option at all......Do the SE's like about 3-3.5^3 ft ported, or is it more?
