I was in about 5th grade when it caught on, but I didnt get into it right away. During the summer afte though I was addicted, got into the cards for a bit, but phased out an just played the gameboy red and blue.

Really well concieved games, its a shame that the new ones are complete trash.

Also bought the remake of pokemon red for GBA. Good fun.

I bought the blue when it came out..Also bought the gold later on..Never did beat the gold though.

And I was king of the trading card game. Our Books a Million had pokeman day every other saturday. I'd go up there, wipe the little kids out, and get my stickers for my book.

yea at 1 point i had almost EVERY holographic card it was. lol i was the only one around with Charaziod, Venasaur,Blastoise all that good stuff lol i was on an roll at one time. that shit got expensive paying like $60 for 1 **** card. i kinda miss it tho.

I spent I think a total of $40 on packs of cards...When I got out of it, I sold 3 cards for $65 at the flea market...Still have a crap load of them..I think it was a Charizard, 1st edition holographic Articuno, and a Blastoise or Venasuar that I sold togethor.
