Got my A7HC today...

The UPS man kocked on my door at about 1:00p. When I greeted him I was disappointed to see him with a large Audiobahn box...especially when I ordered a Cadence amp! I opened it to check the contents and was pleasently suprised to find a Cadence box. I opened it to find the most amazing piece of electronical art work I have ever seen. The underside of the amp is clear plexi, showcasing all of the sparkling components layed out ever so neatly on a bright blue circuit board. After analizing it for about 20 min. it hit me, "Why am I sitting here in my kitchen staring at this thing when when I could be listening to it instead?" I yanked out my old Punch 200ix and put the A7HC in it's place. After some tuning and fine adjusting, I came to the conclusion that this IS the best amp I have ever heard. I'm sure that my three HE2's don't do it justice, they seemed a little intimidated at first but I toned the amp down so they could handle it. I think they are friends now. I can't wait until I get my 15" Brahma and then I can put the amp to it's fullest potential. (Yes I know the Brahma's are on back order. I am done setteling for less because of impatients. I will wait.)

gonna get some pics for us to drool over? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

I took a couple ( one of the front and one of the back). I don't have a digital camera so you'll have to wait. If you look at my pic. gallery, I plan on having the same lay out only with the A7HC and an A4 in place of the Punch amps. And a 15" Brahma in place of the 3 HE2's. The entire project will take a little work since the Cadence amps are wider than where the amps currently sit. That will be modified when I change out the top for the Brahma. The amps will be mounted upside down showing the circuitry. Many pics will be taken through out the process and posted.

not to worry ladies. im sure ill get to see and take pictures!

Yah, the next time I hook up with Mattj I'm sure he'll take some pics with his digi, that will more than likely be sooner than I get mine developed.

Update: I currently have the A7HC hooked up to my 3 HE2's at 2.67 ohms. I guessing that the amp is putting out around 700w rms at this rate. This is the best I can do for now. In order to get a 1 ohm load to get the amp's full power I would only be able to use 2 of the subs and there is now way they would be able to handle that. When I ran my 2 Punch 200ix's I was putting out about 1400w rms. Tha A7HC pounds harder and sounds louder and cleaner at only 700w. I drive 1/2hr one way to work. I have the gain and bass boost at 1/2. I purposely set them this way and drove to work with the volume at about 8 out of 10. (the sony has some little notchs instead of #'s.) The bass is set more than I like for every day driving but I wanted to see how hot the amp woud get. By the time I got to work the thing felt like it had never even been on.

With an amp providing such clean power, I now realize how crappy SQ RF's have.

Compairing their specs, I like the Brahma's better. Pluse It has to go in a 6cu' box. It is not a final desion though, I am suppose to hook up with a Treo rep to talk about a ssx15.22.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif We'll se how that goes...

By looking at the line on WinISD, compairing the ssx15.22 and the Brahma, I like the Brahma better, but we'll see what the rep has to say.

Good choice, however you could have gotten it a lot cheaper.....
Now you tell me:rolleyes:

Do you know where I can do better than $469 for a Cadence A4?
