Yeah, those pioneers got pretty loud & pretty clear off of just HU power, just a little too bright for my taste, kinda harsh on the ears & the midbass was horrid, the midrange had to be the best part of this set though. So far the morels have been keeping up with my sub after a little bit of tuning, After I broke them in they started to keep up with the bass. I must say that this component set has very noticeable and accurate midbass, amazing vocals too. I can't wait to get an amp to these, Even without it they maintain clarity at high volumes. My highs no longer hurt my ears due to harshness and that is mainly what I have been looking for. The tweets and midwoofer compliment each other perfectly. I could be at a bias with these sets because I have not had an amp running to them, but princ3mo I really think you should check out the morels. I'm a pretty big fan after using the pioneer set, its well worth the money, I would have easily paid 125 for these.
