I have a hifonics zx6400 amplifier and a guy offered me a jl 12 w6v2. This is defintetly a good deal right. And if he is not able to hook it up(dont know or not) is there a way to see ne possibility of being blown. And if it does happen to be blown is there nething u can do with jl woofers as far as repairs.

not worth it to fix a blown jl sub since they charge so much to recone it

Be careful.

JL Audio wont recone their subs unless you can show a retail reciept from an authorised JL Audio dealer (and even then its just slightly less than buying a new sub!), and from what I've read no other sub company recones JL subs.

he has 2 and 1 is hooked up so ill tell him to take the one out and swap um or sumtin i dont know. So if it does happen to be blown theres no where i can get it reconed?

I think the others are right, I haven't seen anything about other companys reconing the JL's, if you can get the JL that's hooked up and you know is not blown, take it, if you can't get that one, tell him to let you hook it up in your car, to an amp and see if it's blown. If you can't do either, don't do it, just pay the extra $$ and get a NEW JL sub.
