good scratch remover/filler?

well a buddy of mine scraped/ran into my parents car tonight, theres a spot about the size of a 6x9 speaker of little scratches. Its not real deep, so im going to try to find some filler or remover or whatever.

its jet black paint

not only is it my parents car, and they are out of town, but its a 2003 Infiniti G35 :-/

anyways do you guys know of any good stuff? someone was telling me the name of something, it was like TX927, someting with #'s and letters. thanks.

Try some GooGone with a somewhat abrasive sponge... no matter what you use... try it in a out of sight place first to make sure you don't ruin the paint job //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

I heard that Scratch X by Meguiar's is supposed to be pretty good...just need a hi speed buffer

Might also try some GS27 scratch remover. That has worked well for me when I've had to buff out scratches.

Meguiars Scratch X, DACP, or Swirl Remover.

3M Swirl Mark Remover for Dark Colors.

You are likely going to need to use a rotary buffer (ONLY if you know how to use one properly) or a (Porter Cable) PC7424 or 7336 Dual Action Polisher.

Use the least abrasive products first and then move to more abrasive ones until you start seeing results. Remember to top with a quality sealant or wax once done.

In your situation, I'd top it off with Meguiars NXT. Not only does it leave an awesome shine, but it's durable, and contains mild cleaners and fillers to take care of anything that you could not remove with the swirl and scratch removers.

Still, if you can catch your fingernail in the scratch, you're SOL, and need a re-paint.

thanks guys, was funny, i went to napa, got all three scratch things they had, one was the meguiars, and the other two are the ones he uses on that website...

anyways it came out pretty good, you can still see a little, im only oging to tell my parents if they notice it !
