Good PC Games

Hey guys im looking to get into some good PC games, nothing to graphical cause my computer isnt really built for it, but i just want a few games that are pretty fun to play, something similar to HALO, GTA.

Man there is this one game that I used to love, I totally forgot the name though, its about as basic graphics as you can get but it was released in the past year. It's supposed to mimic a 1980's cold war era operations command bunker. You basically manage your fleet, set up missle / radar silos, set up air bases. Ok I remember its called Defcon, its the coolest game evar. I dont feel like rewriting what I said because it basically explained it. But the thing is no one actually wins in the game, you just try to not lose as bad as the other guy, if that makes sence... your always going to loose major cities and rack up a few dozen million deaths.



Its also got that eerie factor because in the background every 5-10 minutes you just hear someone faintly start crying, or caughing, to really bring you into it like your watching the world end... pretty cool game, for what it is atleast...

Hitman's were fun. The big trophy hunt games were a good way to pass time. I used to get into sherlock holmes games as well. Tryed one from a torrent site one day and i got hooked. Leisure suit larry is good for some laughs. Gear-Head Garage kept me busy for a month. Insane is cool to smash cars off of clifs, and its a raceing game with flags like you were asking. Wolfenstien was great. Midtown Madness.

If you want to play online you can't beat the older games on the top 10 list (from gamespy). Notice HL is still #2 and that game is almost 10yrs old and it has a crazy amount of mods. BF2 is a ton of fun, Q3A was never my fav but it's still popular and old enough to be cheap and low on computer reqs... If you want something other than an FPS try Warcraft 3 or Age of Empires 2 for RTS's.
