Personally, I like the looks of the Alpine over the Kenwood.

just get the alpine H/U... and the type r.. the amp is good too. but just for warning i have a friend that orderd from that site and the amp was sent DOA... it didnt have any output to it... it was a hifonics amp too. he sent it back over 2 months ago and still hasnt gotten it back repaired or a new amp... he calls every day and no answer.. so, just warning you. good luck with the build man!

If you have a good box then yes.. It will get loud.

ive had that kenwood loved ive had type r s gets loud and sounds good handles alot of CLEAN power the hifonics not sure but that amp would work on one sub if its daul 2 ohm so u can run it two 1 ohm to get all the amps power

its all what u prefer. id build my one box if i was u. u could use that amp for 2 subs if u got daul 4 ohm so u can run the amp to 1 ohm
