newsgroup is the way to go. i pay about 20 bucks per month for anything and i mean anything and the download speed goes as fast as your internet could allow. Torrents speed isnt that good for most things.

I use vuze and my client, it used to be alot better, but it works well. Most torrent listings will show the bitrate of the mp3s, there are alot of good lossless ones as well.

I use isohunt alot.

Usually from my findings, that is what everything usually is uploaded at...at a minimum. Only thing I've found to be lower is old old music.

The torrent info on the page should tell you what the bitrate of the files is.

getmeasong.com not all of them work, if the download time i around 30 secs it works, if its like 1/2 a second, delete the file.

Best quality of music with the widest selection is on private torrent sites. What.cd has the most, and Waffles.fm is second. Speeds vary; for popular stuff it is just as fast as newsgroups.

If I were you, I would start by finding some music you like on ThePirateBay.org first, just to get the hang of things. Once you've read around a bit and understand the concepts, then go for What.cd. It won't take you long to figure it out....
