Good deal or Crap?

It is a refurb...but is listed with a 4yr warranty. Problem is I don't know what I would run off of it. It has so much power and I am on a budget...
What components would you run off this? 175w x4 at 4 ohm. 700w 4ohm bridged.

Anyway, if its a good deal you all can jump on it!

PLANET AUDIO BB175.4B 1400w CLASS D 4 CHANN AMPLIFIER - eBay (item 390203530054 end time Jul-01-10 01:01:35 PDT)
This is quoted from the ebay auction you posted:

"A class D amplifier uses a fully digital power supply and it is about twice as efficient as a regular conventional class A/B amplifier. There are two main advantages of a class D amplifier. The first one is that it will not drain your battery because it is more efficient. The second main advantage is that it will be a lot louder, and it will sound a lot better than a conventional class A./B. because there are less moving parts internally in the amp. That and result is an extremely powerful and efficient amplifier with very very low distortion."

The bolded portion is hilarious. There are no moving parts in class a/b amps. Class D amps introduce a LOT of distortion. They are NOT as clear as a/b amps. Maybe a poorly designed a/b can be beat by a great class d, but this is not a common occurrence. There are several SQ guys on this forum. Find out if any use class d for their mids..... shoot find out how many would prefer class d on their SUBS....

I always thougth AB amps had better SQ, but I wasn't sure if there was something I didn't know about. Aren't Alpine PDX class D and aren't they pretty good amps?

I also thought the older US made Planet Audio stuff was good. Thats why I started the post.

Last i checked there wasnt moving parts in any amps. I hate it when my transistors fail on my compression stroke.

lulz.

You won't get all that much power out of it anyways, maybe 1k or so. And 1k, ain't shit. Just buy a cheapie Alpine R and bang your brains out. If you build the box right you'll have litttle problems unless you crank the bass boost.

Hilarious what people get away with saying/spouting when they know nothing....
