This has the HD tuner INSIDE the tv, right? I won't need anything but an HD cable box to get HD signal?

its a projection tv. i say look for a 1080p lcd tv. u could find good ones for that price and its new.

I have a 32" aquos, and I enjoy it very much.

825 used seems a bit high imo for the other one. My friend got a 50" samsung 720p for less than 800 on a thanksgiving sale. I'd wait for one of those if you could hold out.

1080p is nice, but other than Blu-Ray movies, most things dont use it. A few games can, but most of those are natively 720p resolutions, just being upscaled to 1080p.

true, 1080p isnt used much. i think the only game that is true 1080p is virtual tennis. But in the near future, 1080p will be popular. METAL GEAR SOLID 4 btw!!

I wish I could hold out but it's a gift for my father's birthday. I have a 1080p tv and love it on my PS3...my dad is just really into sports, so he'll be good with this.
