Tinsel Snap? WTF, I meant Tinsel Slap I heard some sort of rubbing/slapping at certain bass frequencies coming from my SPZ60 Mid. My initial thought was rubbing against the door panel. Removed the door panel and it still occurs. Checked the mid and everything seems fine, no signs of defects. It has only happens at high volumes with heavy mid bass playing. Also, it only is heard from one mid, not both. I have never experience tinsel slap so I am not quite sure if it is. From the reading I have been doing on "tinsel slap" it seems like that is what I hear at certain frequencies. From reading it looks like to solve tinsel slap you should "glue" the tinsel to the spider? Confused. Pics:
