Well, I can't disagree with that. In fact on many forums I visit more than one account is a punishable offense. Usually the alterative gets perma-banned and the main account gets warned via PM. I'll admit to having 1 or 2 other accounts here only because nothing is done about it, yet I wouldn't be opposed to all extra accounts being banned/deleted.

Why do people need more than one account? Usually to disrupt the forum and do useless things Or to make fun/offend another member(case in point: DikeOf Tulsa). Clogs forum database, making searches that much longer or inneffective. Bottom line is, Multiple accounts aren't necessary for anyone to have, and are usually used for a negative or destructive means. Can you explain to me an instance where multiple accounts will help the forum in a positive/constructive manner?

I don't allow them at my forum and http://www.anti-rice.com deals with multiple account offenders aggressively. In fact I like their whole model of moderators/admin powers and roles. Their format is that they have been with the forum since the beginning and they are always right, even when they are wrong. if you don't like what they do, then leave. I think that is the way any forum should be run. You can't be diplomatic about running a forum.
