Well I was bumpin this morning to some shit and im loud and all and then i smell that smell. Yall know that smell.

Yes,

The smell of defeat. I look over and my door panel is smokin. i rip the tweeter out and it is done. what would have caused this? was it too much power?? Im running a Audiopipe 1000 watt 4 channel...yea..its prob not a real 1000 wrms but watev. Has this happened to any of yall before??

i was feeding mine 200rms to each mid.....lasted me abt 8months...(not the best idea ever)...til the one mid blew out and next thing i knew my crossover network for my left ch gave out as well=(...tweeter never gave out..they both held up great...never an issue

I overpowered my set from the get go, had a MTX 502 on them at first, now its a Sundown 125.2. I never cooked my tweeters though, however I have swapped them for my VC100s. Sucks man, finding replacements shouldnt be too hard though.
