'Glass resin alternative?

i was just wondering if there is an alternative to the first layer of fiberglass to get the molding from the car. My car is a 2005 and ive never used fiberglass before. i have a bit more background with epoxies and polueurethanes tho.

is there a possibility to get a mold with a different material and glassing after i take it out?

Why would you use a different product? If you cover the area with tape and foil its pretty simple dude.

What are you doing? Kicks?

tape and petroleum jelly, screw alum foil

slap it on thick and it will peel of like a nice greased pan

^^^^ thats a good idea I used WD40. It stinks though and then you have to clean it off.

if youv'e delt with epoxies and polueurethanes, then fiberglass shouldn't be that big of a deal.
